Friend of the show Dennis McKinnon joined John and Ray to discuss the Bears’ draft choices and their upcoming season. “As an observer and a fan go hand-in-hand, I think like most Bears’ fans I’m still laughing and recovering from the draft,” McKinnon told WLS AM 890.
“Look at the Bears’ last few years going back to 2013: 8-8 and 5-11, 6-10 and 3-13, and then you have the audacity to raise ticket prices for a bad product,” McKinnon continued. “You see the Bears opening schedule? Atlanta, Tampa, Pittsburgh, Greenbay. Four teams, most with a 2-3 receiver set. We got one of the worst defenses in the league, and you don’t even go after a marquee player at safety or corner. It makes no sense whatsoever. It’s an embarrassment.” McKinnon went further saying the team isn’t even “good enough to be on TV.”
Not only is McKinnon an unbiased observer of the NFL, he also runs a great camp for children to learn about football, and more importantly life. You can learn more about his charity at Bearly Active.
