The state of Pennsylvania offers their residents a multitude of ways to win money. From the state’s lottery program to multiple casinos, anyone with luck could be a winner. Now Philadelphia has a special contest for those who vote. The program started in 2015 when Bridget Conroy-Varnis won $10,000 in the first ever citizen voter lottery. This year for primary voters, Philadelphia is bringing the idea back and will reward one lucky voter another $10,000 reward.
For a city whose residents often lack their civic duty, perhaps this is a great incentive to increase the voting population.
