Former Bears Quarterback Jay Cutler is going to be trading his helmet for broadcast headphones. Cutler is announcing his retirement and will be joining FOX Sports as a football analyst, working on a team with Kevin Burkhardt and Charles Davis.

Fox Sports president John Entz issued a statement saying “We’re thrilled to welcome Jay to the Fox Sports family. We’re very excited about the potential he brings to the booth and are looking forward to hearing his analysis during what is sure to be another great season of the NFL on Fox.”

The Bears released Cutler in March after eight years with the team. In that time the Bears compiled a record of 52 and 52. The 34-year old Cutler left as the Bears all time leader in pass attempts, completions, and touchdowns.
