(CHICAGO) Expected to be discussed during a conference call, with a federal judge, later today: A request by former Congressman Aaron Schock to have his trial rescheduled.
Schock’s lawyers say there has a been a delay in receiving evidence in the case and they won’t have enough time to review it all before the scheduled July trial.
They’re asking that the trial be pushed to January.
Just last week, the judge doubted the trial would begin in July.
Former GOP Congressman Aaron Schock from Peoria has pleaded not guilty to illegally seeking reimbursement in government funds for lavish spending…including remodeling his Washington office in the style of the “Downton Abbey” tv series.
