(CHICAGO) — The Chicago Teachers Union has given Chicago Public Schools CEO Forrest Claypool a vote of no confidence.
To no one’s surprise, the vote was overwhelmingly against Claypool and by proxy against his boss Mayor Rahm Emanuel.
At the City Club, CTU President Karen Lewis said she warned Claypool.
“You know, I tried to talk to him when he first took this job. You know what I told him: run Forest run. But he didn’t listen and he took the job and every time I pick up the phone and have a conversation with him to try and handle a problem I just get stonewalled,” Lewis said. “He doesn’t want to talk to me. I don’t know why. I’m so fun . I am such a nice person and I’m so easy to get along with.”
Nonetheless she again denounced Gov. Bruce Rauner and called President Donald Trump a “70 year old man child.”
