(CHICAGO) Mayor Rahm Emanuel and the Cubs are feuding over security at Wrigley Field.
First the Cubs wanted the Mayor to close Clark and Addison around the ballpark on games days but Rahm said no.
Now Emanuel wants the Cubs to increase security on the new Cubs Plaza and five other items.
“The Cubs are investing in the skyboxes,” says Mayor Emanuel, “It’s time now to invest in the security around Wrigley Field. You have a new plaza. You need a new plan for security.”
It looks to some like the mayor and Cubs management are pointing fingers at each other to avoid blame if something does happen at ‘Friendly Confines’ of Wrigley Field.
