(CHICAGO) It was the first manned mission to the moon in 1969 and astronaut Neil Armstrong used a bag to collect moon dust.
That Apollo 11 bag was later misidentified and sold at an online government auction. A Chicago woman bought it in 2015 and when NASA launched a court fight to get it back she won.
The Apollo 11 collection bag that she bought for $995.00 has been sold at a Sotheby’s auction for $1.8 million.
The auction house refused to identify the buyer.
