(AUSTIN, TX.) — As people are being rescued in Houston, so too are the pets.
There is a growing number of animals that need foster care because of the damage Harvey has brought. Mary Heerwald with Austin Pets Alive talked about it with Ramblin’ Ray on WLS.
“Right now we have over 430 new animals, new evacuees from coastal shelters in our care,” Heerwald said.
She says she doesn’t have a lot of specifics when it comes to needed supplies, but says the need is there for human help.
“So we’re looking for adopters, we’re looking for fosters, we’re looking for donations.”
