(CHICAGO) Mayor Rahm Emanuel is reacting to Governor Bruce Rauner saying he’s also working with the out-of-state St. Louis bid for Amazon’s second headquarters.
Some are calling Emanuel’s reaction “remarkable” – only because it’s so restrained, saying “Well, don’t you think, Bill (WLS reporter Bill Cameron), that’s a question for him? I know what I’m thinking about which is Chicago first, Chicago only. They’re looking for an incredible, skilled, educated workforce. You find it in our 17 universities. Unbelievable transportation system, very affordable cost of living and a world class city!”
Rauner is at least not repeating talk about his divided loyalties but saying the negotiators had a very good trip to Seattle.
