(CHICAGO) President Trump’s candidate in the Alabama Senate primary lost to a conservative firebrand and Mayor Emanuel seems to be enjoying it.
In fact, the Mayor is smiling about Trump’s candidate losing, adding “It was about the Republican primary and I think the Republican Party as a whole is moving farther and farther to the extreme and moving to the extreme in American values. If in the Republican primary, if Donald Trump’s endorsement doesn’t swing the vote, then don’t worry about the general election either. In fact, if I were a Republican, I’d be worried about that.”
Emanuel joked he had stronger words to say but he didn’t want to put ’em on the record.
