(CHICAGO) Mayor Rahm Emanuel is talking about the mass exonerations.
The Mayor says, “The actions of Ronald Watts must be condemned by all of us” and at the City Club, he described what the Chicago Police Department is doing to prevent them from happening again.
“We are gonna make sure our officers are the best professionally trained and pro-active, upholding exactly what their training has set out to do for them,” Emanuel said, “There is zero tolerance for not upholding the highest standards that we have set for him or her.”
Emanuel and Police Superintendent Eddie Johnson were at the City Club reporting that because of changes, shootings and homicides in Englewood are down more than 40% and are at the lowest point since the turn of the century.
