(CHICAGO) Mayor Emanuel and States Atty Kim Foxx are suing Uber.
It’s a consumer fraud lawsuit.
57 million Uber drivers and passengers had their personal data breached last year, and then Uber took a year to reveal it.
So the mayor and the states attorney are seeking civil penalties and fines in the Cook County Circuit Court.
Rahm calls it brazen and Foxx says Uber can’t be allowed to sweep the episode under the rug.
This is just one of a long line of lawsuits that are expected to cost Uber millions.
