(CHICAGO) — Illinois is cutting costs for new LLC’s.
Gov. Bruce Rauner has signed a bill into law that cuts the filing fee for a new LLC from $500 to $150. Previously, Illinois had the highest fees in the nation.
According to the governor’s office, fees for reinstatement, annual report and name transfer fees for businesses have also been lowered under the bill. For instance, the annual report fee has been lowered from $250 to $75.
