(CHICAGO) The victim of a Chicago police no-knock raid at midnight last Friday is not satisfied with the way the police have tried to make things right with her.
Police Superintendent Eddie Johnson has personally apologized to the family and the city has replaced the door that was knocked-in by mistake, but Sanae Cross – the owner of the wrong address – says the city replaced her solid oak & steel door with a hollow one that won’t lock – and she’s not happy about the way the media handled the story either.
“For some reason the media thought it was smart to put my street address out there to the public”, says Cross, “ So I’ve had a strange guy come to my home and knock on my door. I’ve had vehicles sitting outside for a couple of hours. I don’t know these people and I don’t know what’s going on. So, it’s just little ole me and Jesus!.”
The family wants the raiding officers disciplined, and in the future people like her treated with dignity, integrity and humanity.
