(CHICAGO) Why is Mayor Emanuel willing to “move forward” with O’Hare expansion without American Airlines onboard?
According To WLS’s Bill Cameron, the power play Emanuel s running here is to take control of who’s the boss at O’Hare.
According to the Mayor, “In the past, when Chicago wanted to make investments in OHare – basic maintaince – we would have to ask both airlines to sign-off on it and if they didn’t agree, we couldn’t do it. That’s not gonna be the case here anymore. We do not have to ask ‘Mother, may I?’ all the time.”
No more mother may I at O’Hare may have to get past a court test and for sure get past all of the wheeling the dealing for all the mother lode of jobs and contracts.
