(DETROIT) General Motors is bucking a long time industry trend. It will soon stop reporting sales numbers as often as other automakers.
GM sales-operations chief Kurt McNeil says “Thirty days is not enough time to separate real sales trends from short-term fluctuations in a very dynamic, highly competitive market.”
GM says it will still disclose sales data at the end of each quarter.
