(CHICAGO) In the Chicago Public Schools sexual predator scandal, CPS CEO Dr. Janice Jackson is firing back at Mayor Emanuel’s challengers.
Rahm’s challengers are piling on blaming him for the scandal, but Dr. Jackson is playing defense for her boss.
“What I say to that response and anyone trying to politicize this is that I think that is extremely grotesque,” said Jackson. “This is about protecting children. My Mama Bear instincts are out in front on this, so anybody who tries to politicize this, I have no time for that. I don’t think any of the victims in this case care who’s running for office, who’s doing what. All they care about is making sure that the people who hurt them are held accountable and that this doesn’t happen to anybody else again.”
On reform, Dr. Jackson said any CPS employee accused of abuse will now be removed right away.
