(CHICAGO) Taping “Connected to Chicago with Bill Cameron” this afternoon, candidate for mayor, Ja-Mal Green, said Mayor Emanual is so unpopular he’ll come in third in the race for mayor.
Green says he thinks Rahm will come in third and miss the likely runoff because the Officer Jason Van Dyke trial for the killing of Laquan McDonald is coming upright in the middle of the campaign, this summer and fall.
He says about Emanuel, “You covered-up the murder of a 17-year-old who was shot 16 times to get elected. And now the Jason Van Dyke trial is in the midst of election time. So it’s karma.”
The mayor has always denied a cover up in the case and is confident he will make the runoff.
