Believe it or not, the midterm elections are six weeks away, and today is National Voter Registration Day.
The day lands on the fourth Tuesday of September and its goal is to make sure every American who is eligible has the opportunity to vote.
Volunteers are engaged in outreach efforts today to reach tens of thousands of voters who might not register otherwise.
