President Trump says he’s given the FBI the freedom to interview anyone they like as they investigate sexual misconduct allegations against Brett Kavanaugh.
Speaking to reporters on Monday, Trump said the FBI should interview “anybody that they want, within reason”, adding that he hoped the investigation didn’t turn into a “witch hunt”.
Last week, Trump said the investigation should be “limited in scope” and last “less than one week”. Senate leader Mitch McConnell says a vote on Kavanaugh will happen sometime this week.
