The Houston city council is saying no to a proposed ‘sex robot brothel’.
The proposed business, where customers could pay to spend time with a sex doll, met with heavy protests from local residents, with one promising to film everyone who visited the brothel and expose them online.
On Wednesday, the city council passed an ordinance making it legal to sell sex dolls, but illegal to try them out in the store.
The brothel was proposed by a Canadian company who runs a similar service in Toronto. Houston City Councilman Greg Travis said “This is not a good business for our city. We are not Sin City”.
