President Trump has threatened to use military force to close the southern border in order to stop a migrant caravan making its way through Mexico.
In a series of tweets Thursday, Trump claimed the caravan, which includes thousands of migrants from Guatemala, Honduras, and El Salvador, included “MANY CRIMINALS” and asked Mexico to “stop this onslaught” before it reaches the U.S., or he would deploy the military to shut the border down.
Trump blamed the caravan on Democrats and said stopping the “assault” on the U.S./Mexico border is his highest priority as President.
