With less than three weeks to go before the midterms, Alaska governor Bill Walker has suddenly dropped out of the race, suspending his re-election campaign.
An independent candidate running against both Democratic and Republican challengers, Walker said that he “cannot win a three-way race” and endorsed Democratic nominee Mark Begich.
However, early voting has already begun and Walker’s name is still printed on absentee ballots, which could still take votes away from Begich.
