A powerful near-category 5 hurricane is set to make landfall in Mexico. It will also deliver substantial drenching rains and wind to Texas in the coming days.
Major resorts in Mexico are under tropical storm warnings. Luckily for them, it appears that the worst of Willa will miss areas like Puerto Vallarta and Mazatlan.
When the hurricane makes landfall on Mexico’s Pacific coast, it is likely to be a category 3 storm. Some areas could see as much as two feet of rain.
As for Texas, the Lone Star State could see several inches of rainfall from the storm this week. Louisiana could also feel the effects of Willa.
