(CHICAGO) Congressman Peter Roskam did NOT attend Trump’s rally in Murphysboro Saturday but two other leading Republicans did go in very carefully arranged appearances.
Governor Bruce Rauner did go to show his support, but didn’t get a shout-out from Trump which Democrats would have used against him. Congresssman Randy Hultgren WAS on stage with Trump and got to speak.
“We’ve got a tough battle against a very liberal candidate who’s dying to support Nancy Pelosi for speaker,” said Congressman Hultgren, “We gotta stop that. We gotta hold the House. We gotta continue the fight for this great country. Get out and vote and vote early!”
Hultgren gave his turnout with Trump supporters a boost ahead of Joe Biden coming Wednesday to campaign for his challenger Lauren Underwood.
