(CHICAGO) Charges have been filed against the second member of a burglary crew that targeted suburban homes, over the summer, in three states.
Items were stolen from Hammond, Indiana and Silver Lake, Wisconsin as well as more than a dozen Chicago suburbs. Several places in west suburban Riverside were hit over the course of an hour on July 12. Police say Darvis Dennis, 30, of Chicago would steal items and then also take a vehicle so that he could drive the stolen goods to a storage unit rented by Izalis Morales, 19.
Authorities say Morales would then sell the goods from the unit or online.
Dennis is charged with burglary, theft and possession of a stolen vehicle. Morales was charged, in August, with felony counts of possession of stolen property and possession of a stolen vehicle. She is still in custody.
