At a campaign rally for Lena Epstein in Michigan, Vice President Mike Pence had Messianic Rabbi Loren Jacobs say a prayer for the 11 people killed at a synagogue in Pennsylvania.
Jacobs began his prayer by saying, “God of Abraham, God of Isaac, God of Jacob, God and father of my lord and savior Yeshua, Jesus the Messiah, and my God and father, too.”
Rabbi Jacobs’ synagogue is one that believes Jesus is the Messiah, a belief rejected by spiritual authority in Judaism.
Pence was accused on social media of getting a “fake rabbi” and “Christian rabbi” to do the prayer for the rally.
