Normally it’s the person on stage who gets the standing ovation following a performance, but on Tuesday, it was one of the audience members receiving praise.
Nancy Pelosi attended Bruce Springsteen’s highly regarded “Springsteen on Broadway” along with her husband following the House Democratic Leader’s appearance on “The Late Show With Stephen Colbert”.
As the couple took their seats, the entire theater broke into “spontaneous applause,” according to Page Six .
Afterwards, Pelosi met with Springsteen and his wife Patti Scialfa backstage for a photo op.
