Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman reportedly disparaged slain journalist Jamal Khashoggi as a ‘dangerous Islamist’ in a phone call to the White House just days after Khashoggi was murdered.
According to the Washington Post, Prince Mohammed told Jared Kushner and John Bolton that Khashoggi was part of the Muslim Brotherhood, something Khashoggi’s friends and colleagues deny. At the time of the call, the Saudi government had not yet admitted to any involvement in the journalist’s disappearance.
Prince Mohammed has decried Khashoggi’s death in public, but many believe he was involved in the plan.
