An initiated ballot measure in the state of North Dakota pushed to legalize recreational marijuana in the state, but voters have rejected it on Tuesday.
Critics of the measure did not like that it would have allowed people to cultivate and possess an unlimited amount of marijuana.
The measure also would have expunged marijuana crimes from people’s records.
Two years ago North Dakota passed medical marijuana with an initiated measure garnering 64% of the vote. The legalization measure only received 40%.
