Find yourself struggling to stay awake in homeroom? Need a jolt of coffee to make it through Physics? Unless it’s your senior year, you might not get served at Costa Coffee.
The chain has just confirmed that they will leave it up to the individual stores to allow serving anyone under 16 years old, saying, “We do not encourage the sale of caffeine to children under 16.”
The policy went into effect over the summer, but came to light this week when a 12-year-old across the pond in North Wales was denied her “occasional treat.”
Costa Coffee didn’t say how they would enforce the rule when asked by Fox News.
