The Dow Jones plunged more than 600 points on Monday, and President Trump says it’s because the Democrats are targetting him.
After the market opened with major losses, Trump tweeted “The prospect of Presidential Harassment by the Dems is causing the Stock Market big headaches!”
Democrats are planning to launch investigations into Trump’s tax returns and other issues when they assume control of the House in January. Trump did not explain how these plans specifically impacted the stock market.
