Michael Avenatti said, “I’m still considering it,” in reference to a possible run for president in 2020 despite being arrested for domestic violence Wednesday.
In a text message Avenatti said, “I will not be intimidated. The measure of a person is how they get up when they are knocked down.”
Avenatti was able to post $50,000 in bail following his arrest and denied the allegations against him to reporters.
“I have never struck a woman. I will never strike a woman,” he said.
Both of Avenatti’s ex-wives issued statements defending him amid the accusations.
