A man convicted of Raping a dying woman, as well as texting photos of that dying woman has received a shockingly light prison sentence.
Brian Varela has been sentenced to 34 months in prison after pleading guilty to felony charges that included second-degree manslaughter and third-degree rape.
Police documents show the Washington State man texted pictured of a partially naked woman in his bed, to his friends. In the texts, Varela said that he believed the woman was overdosing.
Varela was 19-years-old at the time. He also bragged about having sex with the woman. After playing some video games, Varela discovered that the 18-year-old woman, Alyssa Noceda was dead.
