Kane County prosecutors say Nelida Mendoza, 59, and a man were watching TV in her Aurora home when they started arguing.
They say that is when Mendoza bit off the victim’s ear. Police were called after the man went to the hospital.
The Aurora woman has been charged with a felony count of aggravated domestic battery and is free on bond. Her next court date is November 28.
