(CHICAGO) Big business is going to miss Mayor Emanuel at City Hall when he leaves in May and there was evidence of that today.
Chris Kennedy, who criticized the way Rahm runs the schools during his unsuccessful primary campaign for governor, is now praising the outgoing mayor.
“I think the mayor’s legacy will be memorialized in history books and in the library. But all around us in a more important way, there is a living legacy to a man who loves our city. Mayor Emanuel’s devotion to Chicago will be imprinted on our skyline, enshrined on our riverbanks and remembered on the lakefront forever.”
Kennedy said it at ceremonies for another skyscraper going up on the family’s Wolf Point property on the Chicago River where the tech company Salesforce is bringing another thousand jobs.
