Nancy Pelosi says legislation to protect voter’s rights will be first on the agenda when Democrats take control of the House next year.
Pelosi, who is expected to be voted House Speaker, says Dems plan to introduce the Voting Rights Act, which will “reduce the role of money” and “advance fair elections”.
During the midterms, many accused election officials in Georgia, North Carolina, and other states of voter suppression, especially with African-American voters.
Others say stronger voter ID laws are needed to prevent election fraud.
