The next time you complain about dealing with a few long lines at an airport, remind yourself of this story and you won’t be nearly as angry.
A 67-year-old disabled woman was recently left stranded overnight at Chicago’s O’Hare Airport after her flight was canceled and she wasn’t transported to a hotel.
Olimpia Warsaw uses a wheelchair to get around because of Parkinson’s and diabetes. She also has trouble communicating. According to a family member, a porter assigned to Warsaw said his shift was over, so he left her at the airport.
When Warsaw didn’t arrive in Detroit, her family started making calls. A few hours later she was found at O’Hare, still in her wheelchair wearing the clothes she was wearing for the funeral.
