President Trump lashed out at his former lawyer Michael Cohen on Monday, tweeting that Cohen “makes up stories” and should serve a “full and complete sentence” for fraud.
Cohen recently admitted to lying to Congress about Trump’s business interests in Russia, specifically a plan to build a Trump Tower in Moscow that didn’t end up happening.
But Trump says Cohen is lying to Robert Mueller in the hope of getting his sentence reduced, and says his former lawyer’s fraud charges are “unrelated to Trump”.
