(CHICAGO) In the race for mayor, the Chicago Teachers Union endorsement of Toni Preckwinkle raises a big question.
The question is who’s going to run the schools?
Would Preckwinkle give away the store to the teachers union?
CTU president Jesse Sharkey told Preckwinkle he expects much, “CTU bargains with the mayor, sometimes against the mayor. Of course, we’ll have to do that, Toni, when you’re elected mayor and so our relationship gets more complicated and we will intend to hold you more accountable.”
And Preckwinkle said she looks forward to working with CTU.
