Facebook is apologizing for temporarilty banning prominent evangelist Franklin Graham last month over a two-year-old post.
Graham, son of the late Billy Graham, says he was banned for 24 hours last week for violating ‘community hate speech standards’.
The post in question was from 2016 and pertained to North Carolina’s since-repealed ‘bathroom bill’ concerning transgender people using public bathrooms.
A Facebook rep says Graham’s post did not violate their policies and was restored “upon re-reviewing this content”.
