Toyota Recalling Over 1M Vehicles Due to Possible Airbag Problem

By Jennifer Keiper, WLS-AM 890 News

(CHICAGO) One-point-three million vehicles.  That is how many Toyota, Scion, and Lexus vehicles from the 2010 through the 2017 model years are being recalled to replace potentially deadly Takata front passenger air bag inflators.

The inflators can explode with too much force and spew shrapnel into drivers and passengers.  At least 23 people have been killed worldwide and hundreds have been injured.

If you own one of the affected vehicles you’ll be notified later this month.

This is just the latest recall in what has turned out to be the largest series of auto recalls in U.S. history.
