Following the broadcast, Pop-Tarts took to Twitter on Monday, writing, “Hello I am considering a presidential run in 2020. Please RT if you would support this endeavor for me.” Which it turns out, many users do.
The message has racked up 40,076 Retweets and 64,143 Likes as of Wednesday morning, far exceeding the “centrist independent” candidate’s numbers.
If the toaster pastry is serious, perhaps Hostess Snacks could be their running mate. The brand commented on the post, “Only if we are your VP”.
