The illness that is filling emergency rooms in Tampa, FL is not the flu.
Patients are complaining of a cough that will not go away, along with congestion, fever and fatigue.
“It’s definitely upper respiratory tract infection,” says Dr. Michael Patch. “People want to feel better, but there’s not really anything we can give them.”
Not much can be done for the virus, just more rest and hydration.
