(CHICAGO) R Kelly has moved out of his recording studio on Chicago’s west side.
The move comes weeks after building inspectors found violations and a judge restricted the hours that the building could be used for recording purposes.
R Kelly’s Chicago lawyer Steve Greenberg tells ABC7, “The man, he’s a creative genius. He works 24-hours a day but primarily he would be in the studio from, you know, five, six o’clock in the afternoon/early evening, all night long. [He] wasn’t living there, lives somewhere else as everyone knows. You can’t tell someone when they can be creative.”
The city says the building at 219 North Justine which is zoned for commercial use, was being used a residence.
