* A California-based power company says its equipment was likely the cause of the devastating Camp Fire that wiped out the town of Paradise, CA last year.
* Pacific Gas & Electric, or PG&E has filed for bankruptcy protection and expects to be charged more than $10 billion in damages in connection with the deadly wildfire, which killed at least 86 people while destorying thousands of homes.
* The cause of the fire is still under investigation, but it’s believed that a malfunctioning PG&E tower is what sparked the blaze. The company says it has increased equipment inspections in high-risk areas.
