Vacationers on a cruise ship in the Caribbean not only got an extra tour of the Atlantic Ocean on Tuesday, they were also treated to a once-in-a-lifetime dramatic show.
Princess Cruises’ “Regal Princess” was asked to divert from its course to pick up two men stranded 23 miles off the coast of Grand Turk Island after their plane went down.
In a joint rescue effort with the US Coast Guard, the pair were safely brought on to the ship, which resumed day two of its seven-day voyage.
Officials are investigating the cause of the plane crash or if anyone else is missing.
