More grisly details have surfaced about Chris Watts, the Colorado man convicted of murdering his wife and two young daughters last August.
An attorney for the victims’ family appeared on Dr. Phil Tuesday and said Watts strangled his wife Shannan after an argument in which he told her he was having an affair and wanted a divorce. Shannan allegedly told Watts he’d never see their daughters again.
According to Lambert, Watts then drove for 45 minutes with his wife’s body and the two daughters, who were still alive. When he arrived at a remote oil field, he killed the two girls by smothering them with a blanket, then hid all three bodies.
Watts was sentenced to life in prison back in November. An attorney says he’s since “found God” and confessed more details. Colorado authorities plan to release more information on Thursday.
