To celebrate International Women’s Day, Google has created a new doodle that features the word “woman” written in 11 different languages. Once clicked, the page opens into a slide show displaying 13 inspirational quotes by famous women from around the world.
The first African-American astronaut, Dr. Mae Jemison comes up first, with her statement, “Never be limited by other people’s limited imaginations.”
Yoko Ono waxes poetic, saying, “A dream you dream alone is only a dream. A dream you dream together is reality.”
Mexican artist Frida Kahlo, Indian boxer Mary Kom, and Iraqi-British architect Zaha Hadid, as well as German writer Emma Herwegh and Nigerian author Chimamanda Adichie are also featured.
