The good news on Amazon buying Whole Foods meant that workers saw their wages bumped up to $15 an hour. The bad news according to staff: their hours were severely cut.
Speaking anonymously to The Guardian , many workers across the US at the supermarket chain say they are seeing reduced schedules.
One employee told the paper, “My hours went from 30 to 20 a week,” while another reveals some employees need to “look for other jobs as they can’t make ends meet.”
The company denies the accusations, telling Fox News , “Claims that Whole Foods Market is reducing hours as a result of increased wages are false.”
